The Story Behind - Eastern Blush
There are rooms you pass through. And then there are rooms that stay with you. These wall murals was made for the second kind. It is a collection that carries weight. The weight of two cultures, three cities, and a design sensibility formed over a lifetime of looking closely at beautiful things. Persian craftsmanship. French classicism. The decorative traditions of 18th-century Europe. The light and shadow of Los Angeles. These are the places Nina Takesh grew up in, worked in, and was shaped by. And they live in every piece of this collection. A series of heritage-inspired wall murals for contemporary interiors that want to feel like something.

The Collaboration Behind Eastern Blush Wall Murals
Eastern Blush is the second wall mural collection born from the collaboration between Nina Takesh and belarteSTUDIO. The first collection proved something important: there is a genuine appetite for large-scale wall murals that carry real design thinking. Not surface decoration, but pieces with cultural memory built into them.
It is the result of a collaboration defined by immediate creative alignment. A natural meeting point between Nina's deeply personal, reference-rich design language and our commitment to artisanal craftsmanship and uncompromising quality. When Nina first walked into our world, the conversation moved fast. Not because we rushed it, but because the creative alignment was immediate.
The process began with mood boards: color studies, expressive paint strokes, and textural references drawn from Nina's recent creative evolution. Our talented artisans translated those into hand-painted wall murals with the kind of attention to detail that cannot be replicated at industrial scale. Nina stayed closely involved at every stage, refining colour, composition, and texture until each piece felt entirely true to her story.
SOIRÉE PERSANE IN VELVET ROUGE
Inspired by Culture, Heritage & Design
To understand Eastern Blush, you have to understand Nina. Born in Tehran, raised in Beverly Hills, educated in Paris, her eye was formed by a collision of worlds. Persian heritage. European classicism. The visual language of Parisian hôtels particuliers, vintage rugs with centuries of craft woven into them, the silhouette of palms against a Los Angeles sky. These aren't aesthetic references she researched. They are the rooms she grew up in, the cities she worked in, the objects she has always loved. Eastern Blush draws from all of it. Expressed through a palette of blush tones and earthy tones that runs as a unifying thread through the entire collection, grounding its botanical detail and structured geometry in a colour language that feels warm, considered, and timeless.
Seven Designs. One Coherent Vision.
Eastern Blush spans seven large-scale wall murals, each with its own distinct mood and point of reference, yet all connected by a shared language of craftsmanship, memory, and decorative artistry. Every piece is hand-painted by our talented artisans. A process that gives each mural a depth and presence that print alone could never achieve. From atmospheric washes and structured wall murals to scenic landscapes and layered botanical ornament, the collection moves between restraint and richness, always with the intention of shaping both the mood and identity of a room.
L'Air des Jardins – A Parisian Botanical Mural
French for the air of the gardens, this floral wall mural draws inspiration from the hand-painted silk panels that lined 18th-century Parisian salons. Delicate flowering branches, birds in motion, and an imagined landscape unfold across the wall with a sense of softness and suspended time. A nature-inspired wall mural in the truest sense — growing up between Paris and Los Angeles, Nina was surrounded by this botanical aesthetic, and she wanted that same delicacy brought to mural scale. Romantic yet refined, it creates rooms that feel layered, collected, and quietly transportive.
Soirée Persane – Persian Craft Reimagined
Meaning Persian evening, this heritage-inspired wall mural takes its cues from the intricate visual language of the vintage Persian rugs and tapestries that filled Nina's childhood home. Not as decoration, but as objects with real history in them. Dense botanical motifs, hidden animals, and richly layered ornament create a surface full of depth and discovery. It is moody and commanding by design. This pattern does not sit quietly in a room. It presides over it.
The Collection Continues
The remaining five designs complete the world of Eastern Blush with equal intentionality. Tropique is a nature-inspired wall mural that distills the silhouette of Los Angeles palms into three distinct colorways. Pale cream, deep burgundy, and olive. Each one has a different mood, the same essential motif. Damier draws from the geometric rigour of French classical interiors, a structured wall mural given warmth and texture by our artisans until it reads closer to woven textile than graphic pattern. Pierre et Bois, rooted in the marquetry tradition, is the most architectural piece in the collection. Restrained, considered, and built to feel like part of a room's bones. Ombre de Sable offers atmosphere over pattern: a painterly horizontal wash in soft earthy tones that shifts with the light through the day. And Rôde closes the collection with something watchful. A warm, layered animal print that gives any space a quiet, charged edge.
Designed to Give Rooms a Sense of History
Nina said it clearly, and we believe it entirely: a room should feel like it has a past. Not a showroom. Not a set. Something that looks as though it was assembled over time, with intention. The designs in Eastern Blush carry references that go back centuries. Persian craftsmanship, French decorative arts, the chinoiserie tradition and that depth is what gives them genuine weight in a contemporary interior.
