What is the inspiration behind Contemporary Ikat Dark Blue?

This mural is inspired by traditional Ikat textiles and the soft, layered movement of moiré patterns. The hand-painted zigzags and brushstrokes reinterpret these historic techniques through a modern, artistic lens.

What kind of interior does Dark Blue suit best?

The Dark Blue colorway is ideal for modern, design-forward interiors seeking depth and sophistication. It works beautifully in living rooms, bedrooms, studies, and dining spaces where a bold yet refined atmosphere is desired.

Does the mural feel very bold in smaller rooms?

While rich in tone, the organic movement and textile-like texture prevent it from feeling heavy. Used on a feature wall or balanced with lighter materials, it adds depth without overwhelming smaller spaces.

How does Dark Blue compare to the other colorways?

Dark Blue is the most dramatic and expressive option in the Contemporary Ikat series. Dusty Blue feels softer and more serene, Dusty Green brings an earthy calm, Beige offers timeless neutrality, and Terracotta adds warmth and character.

What materials does the mural pair well with?

Dark Blue pairs beautifully with warm woods, stone surfaces, brushed metal, and layered textiles such as linen and wool, enhancing its woven, tactile quality.

Is Contemporary Ikat suitable for both feature walls and full rooms?

Yes. The balanced pattern and soft structure make it versatile — impactful enough for a statement wall, yet refined enough to be used across an entire room.

Is the wallpaper safe and sustainable?

Absolutely. The mural is printed on FSC-certified, matte non-woven wallpaper using dry toner, making it both environmentally conscious and safe for indoor spaces.

Can I order a sample before purchasing?

Yes, samples are available and recommended to experience the color depth, texture, and scale in your own lighting conditions.
