The collaboration
Estelle Graf is a Swedish artist whose work is a channel for her thoughts and emotions, transforming them into art as one processes dreams. Whether through painting, wall murals, or mixed media, her creative process is guided by a subconscious vision that emerges naturally, often driven by an instinctive impulse. Her art is rooted in storytelling, inviting viewers to step into a world of observation and interpretation. She loves to offer small, intriguing fragments and windows into a larger narrative or deeper thought. Estelle leaves space for the viewer to fill in the blanks, interpreting the piece based on their own experiences. She welcomes multiple meanings, and that’s where the magic lies she says.
The collaboration with Estelle Graf has resulted in a unique wall mural collection named Mythic Lands. The three designs, each transform your walls into dreamy landscapes filled with mythical creatures, nostalgic charm, and the magic of childhood fantasies. Estelle’s artistic vision brings walls to life, offering an open-ended invitation for children to create their own stories and for adults to rediscover the magic of childhood.
Whimsy Woods
The first design is a children's wall mural where the shapes and characteristics of animals flow together in a way that feels both familiar and mysterious. An animal could, for example, be both a bear and a fox, and that according to Estelle is intentional. It should feel like animals in dreams. When you dream about something, it often feels like multiple things at once, yet completely natural. That feeling inspired Estelle in creating her fantasy animals.
Secret Garden
The second design is also intended for children's rooms and takes place in a lush palace garden, where fabled creatures engage in various activities. Some play tennis, others ride in hot air balloons, and some enjoy ice cream.
"To me, it feels nostalgic. I was inspired by children's rooms from movies I watched when I was little, like Stuart Little or Home Alone. I wanted to create a scene where children can imagine their own stories and relationships between the characters. I wanted it to feel a bit like opening a page in a children's book, where the child themselves gets to tell what is happening," says Estelle.
Green Serenade
The third and final design in the collection is a wall mural for adults, featuring a beautiful, tranquil forest scene. Here, Estelle drew inspiration from country roads and landscapes that briefly appear when traveling through nature. A place that feels both familiar and unseen. The Green Serenade should feel calm and deep. The wall mural evokes a sense of being invited into a distant place that simultaneously feels recognizable. It is a space for stillness and reflection, with a timeless beauty that complements both modern and classic interiors.
